About the frame
A 20×20 cm (7.87 x 7.87 in) square is an obvious choice for square photos, small art prints and graphics, and it also works well as a building block in a larger gallery wall. The dark smoked oak frame has an almost black surface in which the grain can still be seen, and when several frames hang together, the result is calm and cohesive. The 20 mm wide front gives a striking edge. You choose between a 20 mm depth, which keeps the frame light and discreet, and 30 mm, which gives a more striking profile. The front overlaps the glass and backing board by 5 mm. The frame comes with a stand, so it can sit on a shelf, a chest of drawers or a desk. Thanks to the hanger on the back, the frame can also be hung horizontally or vertically despite the stand – and if you would rather do without the stand, it can be snapped off without much effort.
Glass
- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is light and shatterproof – a safe choice if the frame will stand where it could be knocked over, or hang in a child's room. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image and is an obvious, affordable choice for a small format like 20×20 cm, if you don't mind light reflections in the glass.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.
