About the frame
13×17 cm (5.12 x 6.69 in) is a less common size, but if you have a motif in exactly these dimensions, this frame fits it without any trimming. The dark red, glossy surface gives a card, a drawing or a small print a sophisticated surround with a hint of mahogany. The colour looks lovely alongside motifs in muted greens and blues, where the contrast is clear without being loud. The profile is only 13 mm wide and keeps the focus on the motif. The frame comes with a stand, so it can be placed on a shelf, a chest of drawers or a desk. Thanks to the hanger on the back, the frame can also be hung both horizontally and vertically despite the stand, which can also be snapped off without much effort if you would rather do without it.
Glass
- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is light and shatterproof – a safe choice if the frame will stand where it could be knocked over, or hang in a child's room. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image and is an obvious, affordable choice for a small format like 13×17 cm, if you don't mind light reflections in the glass.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.
Choose options
Create the right framing
Try different framings for your 13×17 cm image and discover what suits the picture best. Our frame designer lets you work with colours, materials and proportions, so you can find a look that fits both the image and your taste.
A 13×17 cm frame gives a compact framing, while a larger frame with a passepartout creates more space around the picture. You can let the passepartout pick up the colours of the image, or choose a calm, neutral shade that keeps the attention on the picture itself.
Upload your image if you like, and follow the result on screen as you switch between the options. Even a small adjustment can change the overall look and bring you closer to the framing you want.
