About the frame

Light olive green wooden frame – fresh, calm and natural

The light olive green tone gives this frame an organic and friendly expression. The colour sits between green and beige – warm yet understated – bringing a subtle touch of nature to the wall. It pairs beautifully with botanical art, minimalist posters and black-and-white motifs. The narrow 15 mm profile overlaps the glass by 5 mm, keeping the artwork securely in place without overpowering the image.

The frame is made of solid ayous wood, a lightweight and dimensionally stable hardwood that provides strength and long durability. The robust construction makes it suitable for both small prints and larger formats. On the back you will find metal brackets for vertical and horizontal hanging, and the flexible metal clips allow you to change the artwork repeatedly without weakening the frame.

Glass

The choice of glass affects both the appearance of the artwork and its protection:

Acrylic glass (plexiglass) – lightweight, shatterproof and clear like regular glass once the protective film is removed. With reflections.

Regular glass – classic clarity with natural colour reproduction and visible reflections.

Non-reflective glass – reduces glare with a finely matte surface, ideal for brightly lit rooms.

Museum glass – almost invisible, offering maximum UV protection and exceptional clarity. Beautifully non-reflective without appearing dull. Also known as invisibility glass.

Passepartout / Mat

If you want to add a passepartout, the frame must always be chosen in a larger format than the poster itself. For example, a 40×40 cm poster with a passepartout width of around 5 cm requires a 50×50 cm frame.

We offer passepartouts in several colours, but for formats above 70×100 cm they can only be produced in white.

Cutout

Measure your poster carefully and choose a cutout that is 1 cm smaller than the poster’s actual height and width. For example, a poster measuring 66×88 cm requires a cutout of 65×87 cm. This provides approx. 5 mm overlap along all edges for stable mounting.

Outer dimensions

The outer dimensions of the passepartout always correspond to the size of the glass in the frame. Note that the glass, passepartout and backing plate sit approx. 5 mm behind the front profile of the frame.

Cutout position

You can choose between three options:

Centered cutout (standard): Equal distance to top and bottom for a balanced look.

Top-positioned cutout: Same distance to top and sides, giving a wider lower border.

Passepartout without cutout:
