About the frame

This matte orange wooden frame brings warmth and energy into the room. The deep, muted tone creates an elegant contrast to both light and dark motifs, making the frame suitable for everything from graphic posters to minimalist artwork. The slim 15 mm profile and 5 mm front overlap secure the poster while keeping the expression clean and modern.

The frame is made of solid ayous wood — a lightweight yet strong material that provides stability and long durability. On the back you will find metal brackets for both vertical and horizontal hanging, and the flexible metal clips make it easy to replace the contents many times without wearing down the frame.

Glass

Acrylic glass (plexiglass) — lightweight, shatterproof and as clear as real glass once the protective film is removed, but with reflections when exposed to light.

Normal glass — classic clarity with natural reflections that add depth and vibrancy to the motif.

Non-reflective glass — significantly reduces glare thanks to its slightly matte surface, ideal in bright rooms or where many light sources are present.

Museum glass — the most exclusive choice, almost invisible with exceptional clarity and strong UV protection to preserve colours over time.

Passepartout / Mat / Mount

If you want to use a mount, the frame must always be selected in a larger format than the poster itself. Example: A 40×40 cm poster combined with an approx. 5 cm mount edge requires a 50×50 cm frame.

We offer passepartouts in several colours, but for formats larger than 70×100 cm they can only be produced in white.

Cutout

Measure your poster carefully and choose a cutout that is 1 cm smaller than the poster’s actual height and width. For example, a poster measuring 66×88 cm requires a cutout of 65×87 cm. This provides approx. 5 mm overlap on all sides, keeping the poster stable and easy to mount.

Outer dimensions

The outer dimensions of the mount always match the glass size of the selected frame. Please note that the mount, glass and backing plate sit approx. 5 mm behind the front edge of the frame.

Cutout position

You can choose between three options:

Centered cutout (standard): Equal distance to top and bottom for a balanced, harmonious placement.

Top-positioned cutout: Equal distance to top and sides, giving a wider mount edge at the bottom.

Mount without cutout: The poster is placed directly on top of the cardboard — ideal when you want the full poster edge, signature or printing marks to remain visible.

All mounts are cut from high-quality, acid-free 1.5 mm cardboard.

Return

You always have a 100-day return policy.

If you wish to return an item, simply write to info@plakatkunst.dk. A return label is included in the package, and the return shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.

If the frame is damaged upon receipt, we will naturally replace it at no extra cost.
