About the frame
Premium aluminum frame in matte black for square posters and pictures in 40 x 40 cm. The slightly curved front measures just 6 mm and creates a simple, precise edge around the artwork. The 20 mm deep sides are finely grooved and give the frame a striking detail from the side, while the matte black surface underlines the clean and exclusive look.
Framing and hanging
The frame is fitted with two movable hangers on the back and comes with a cord for hanging. The hangers can be adjusted as needed.
How to get the artwork in place:
- Loosen the screws in all four corners of the frame.
- Remove the two hangers from one of the frame rails as well as the spring clips that hold the backing board in place.
- Take the frame rail in question completely off.
- Slide the glass and backing board out together through the open side.
- Place the artwork between the glass and the backing board.
- Guide the glass, artwork and backing board back into the frame.
- Put the frame rail back on, and tighten the corner screws almost all the way.
- Fit the spring clips again, so the backing board is held tightly against the glass.
- Finish by tightening all the corner screws completely.
Glass
For this black aluminum frame you can choose between acrylic glass (plexiglass) and three types of real glass. Acrylic glass is light and shatterproof and therefore a practical and safe choice. Standard glass is completely clear, but also gives the most glare, while non-reflective glass has a matte surface that reduces the reflections.
Museum glass is the most exclusive solution, with a very clear reproduction of the artwork, low reflection and the best UV protection among our glass types. This makes it particularly suitable for posters, photographs and artworks that you want to present and protect in the best possible way.

Ordered a frame and it was shipped the next business day and I received it the day after. The frame is beautiful and was well packaged.
I love our beautiful frames from poster art and I had a fantastic experience with customer service. You can blindly trust them to deliver quality both aesthetically and ethically. Thank you very much ❤️ I will be buying all my frames from here.
Extremely good and proactive service, even though the error started with me, it was fixed quickly! And the frame is also super nice.
Bought 2 pieces of 100x140 frames and received very quick and knowledgeable guidance in choosing the type of wood based on pictures sent of where they should hang. They were delivered just a few days later and were very securely packaged. We are SO satisfied and this is not the last time we order from here 😄
Great service. Nice wooden frame with passepartout. Had also ordered a passepartout for another frame. However, I had misunderstood the instructions for measuring so it didn't fit. Posterkunst immediately offered to send a new one with the correct measurements. Very nice customer service.
