About the frame
Exclusive premium aluminum frame in matte black for A2 posters (42 x 59,4 cm). The front, just 6 mm slim, has an elegant, slightly curved shape that creates a discreet and precise border around the artwork. The 20 mm deep sides of the frame have fine grooves that give the aluminum profile texture and a striking look from the side. The matte black finish is particularly well suited to graphic posters, photographs and works of art alike.
Framing and hanging
On the back of the premium frame there are two movable brackets, which are used together with the included cord. The brackets can be adjusted as needed, so the frame can be hung both vertically and horizontally.
How to mount the poster:
- Start by loosening the screws in the four corners of the frame.
- Remove the two hanging brackets from one of the short frame rails, and then take out the clamping pieces for the backing board.
- Detach the short frame rail.
- Pull the glass and backing board out together through the open side.
- Lay the poster between the glass and the backing board.
- Slide the glass, poster and backing board back into the aluminum frame.
- Put the short frame rail back on and tighten the corner screws almost fully.
- Refit the clamping pieces so the backing board sits tightly against the glass.
- Finish by tightening the corner screws completely.
Glass
For this A2 aluminum frame you can choose acrylic glass or one of three types of real glass: standard glass, non-reflective glass and museum glass. Standard glass is completely clear but gives the most glare, while non-reflective glass reduces the reflections. Museum glass combines very low reflection with UV protection and a particularly clear rendering of the artwork.
For aluminum frames we often recommend acrylic glass (plexiglass), especially if the frame is to be shipped. Acrylic glass weighs considerably less than real glass and is shatterproof. Once the protective film has been removed from both sides, it appears clear and looks similar to standard glass.
