About the frame
Premium aluminum frame in matte black for posters and pictures in 40 x 50 cm. The elegant front is slightly curved and only 6 mm wide, which gives the artwork a sharp and minimalist framing. The 20 mm deep sides of the frame have a beautiful grooved structure, which adds character and an exclusive finish to the slender aluminum profile.
Framing and hanging
The frame has two movable hangers on the back and comes with a cord for hanging. The hangers can be positioned as needed, so the premium frame can be hung both vertically and horizontally.
How to put the artwork in the frame:
- Loosen the screws in all four corners.
- Remove the two hangers from one of the short frame rails as well as the spring clips that hold the backing board firmly.
- Take the short frame rail completely off.
- Slide the glass and backing board out together through the open side.
- Position the artwork between the glass and the backing board.
- Guide the glass, artwork and backing board back into the frame.
- Fit the short frame rail again, and tighten the corner screws almost all the way.
- Put the spring clips back in place, so the backing board is held tightly against the glass.
- Finally, tighten the corner screws completely.
Glass
Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is light and shatterproof and therefore a practical choice for an aluminum frame. It comes with protective film on both sides, which must be removed before use. After that, the acrylic glass appears clear and gives a beautiful reproduction of the artwork.
You can also choose between three types of real glass for our 40 x 50 cm aluminum frames: standard glass, non-reflective glass and museum glass. Standard glass is the classic solution, non-reflective glass dampens annoying glare, while museum glass combines high clarity and low reflection with UV protection.

Ordered a frame and it was shipped the next business day and I received it the day after. The frame is beautiful and was well packaged.
I love our beautiful frames from poster art and I had a fantastic experience with customer service. You can blindly trust them to deliver quality both aesthetically and ethically. Thank you very much ❤️ I will be buying all my frames from here.
Extremely good and proactive service, even though the error started with me, it was fixed quickly! And the frame is also super nice.
Bought 2 pieces of 100x140 frames and received very quick and knowledgeable guidance in choosing the type of wood based on pictures sent of where they should hang. They were delivered just a few days later and were very securely packaged. We are SO satisfied and this is not the last time we order from here 😄
Great service. Nice wooden frame with passepartout. Had also ordered a passepartout for another frame. However, I had misunderstood the instructions for measuring so it didn't fit. Posterkunst immediately offered to send a new one with the correct measurements. Very nice customer service.
