About the frame
The square 13×13 cm (5.12 x 5.12 in) format is well suited to small art prints, square photos and graphic motifs. In glossy black, the motif gets a sharp, elegant setting that especially suits black-and-white pictures and illustrations with strong lines. The smooth lacquer and the softly rounded edges make the frame look both crisp and soft at the same time. At just 13 mm in width and depth, the frame looks light, even though it is built from solid ayous wood. The frame comes with a stand, so it can be placed on a shelf, a chest of drawers or a desk. Thanks to the hanger on the back, the frame can also be hung both horizontally and vertically despite the stand, which can also be snapped off without much effort if you would rather do without it.
Glass
- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is light and shatterproof – a safe choice if the frame will stand where it could be knocked over, or hang in a child's room. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image and is an obvious, affordable choice for a small format like 13×13 cm, if you don't mind light reflections in the glass.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.

Find exactly the right framing
Give your 13×13 cm picture a framing that highlights what you love about the image. In our frame designer you can explore how different materials, colours and proportions work with the small, square format.
Choose a 13×13 cm frame for a close, simple look, or use a passepartout in a larger frame to create space around the picture. Perhaps a colour from the image should be echoed in the framing – or a contrast could give it more character?
You can also upload your image and watch your choices appear on screen. Adjust frame and passepartout at your own pace, and find the combination that feels right for your picture.
