Classic black picture frame for framing 50x50 cm pictures. The frame can also be used for smaller pictures if you buy passepartout, or simply just put the picture on top of the acid-free insert paper with double-sided tape.
A matt black varnish completely covers the structure of the wood. We also have a profile with visible structure, but we definitely prefer the smooth profile. The frame is 20 mm wide and can be purchased with 20 or 30 mm depth. You can also buy a 15x15 mm narrow black 50x50 frame. The front extends 5 mm over the glass on all the frames.
Glass
When you buy one of our wooden frames, you must always choose glass. You can buy normal glass, acrylic glass (also called Plexiglas), non-reflective glass or museum glass. If you want to frame a poster that you want to preserve as best as possible, we recommend the exclusive museum glass, which protects optimally against UV rays. However, the other types of glass have at least 40% protection against UV rays. Please note that the acrylic glass is supplied with protective foil on both sides. Remove this and you will find that the acrylic glass is just as clear as normal glass.
