Extremely interesting German vintage poster, probably from the 1920s, although we don't know the exact year. The poster shows the ship SS Columbus from the Norddeutscher Lloyd Bremen shipping company. A German merchant ship which was active from 1924 to 1939, when it was deliberately sunk by the crew off the American coast. Read more about the ship here . The poster has the text: " Proviantverbrauch auf einer Reise von Bremen nach New York und zurüch ", which means: " Provision consumption on a trip from Bremen to New York and back ". And it is the provision consumption that the poster illustrates with, among other things, 12900 liters of milk and 4923 bottles of wine.
At the time of writing, we cannot find this poster anywhere else on the Internet, and we have never seen it before.
