About the frame
The smallest square in the series, 10×10 cm (3.94 x 3.94 in), is made for a little treasure: a small photo, a snippet from an old letter or a miniature art print. The gold-coloured wooden frame gives the small motif a warm glow, and the lightly crackled surface makes the whole thing look like a find from an antique shop. With a profile of 15 mm in both width and depth, the edge is clearly visible without overwhelming the picture, and the front reaches 5 mm over the glass and backing board, so even thin paper lies still. The frame comes with a stand, so it can sit on a shelf, a chest of drawers or a desk. Thanks to the hanger on the back, the frame can also be hung horizontally or vertically despite the stand – and if you would rather do without the stand, it can be snapped off without much effort.
Glass
- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is light and shatterproof – a safe choice if the frame will stand where it could be knocked over, or hang in a child's room. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image and is an obvious, affordable choice for a small format like 10×10 cm, if you don't mind light reflections in the glass.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.
