About the frame
The 15×20 cm (5.91 x 7.87 in) size has a 3:4 ratio, the same that many mobile phones shoot in, so a picture from your camera roll can be printed without losing anything to cropping. Putting a contemporary snapshot in a vintage gold frame makes for a fun contrast: the lightly crackled surface and warm glow give even an everyday picture an almost museum-like feel. At 15 mm wide, the frame does not take up too much space, and the 5 mm overlap means a narrow border of the print is covered. The frame looks good on a bedside table or a windowsill. The frame comes with a stand, so it can sit on a shelf, a chest of drawers or a desk. Thanks to the hanger on the back, the frame can also be hung horizontally or vertically despite the stand – and if you would rather do without the stand, it can be snapped off without much effort.
Glass
- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is light and shatterproof – a safe choice if the frame will stand where it could be knocked over, or hang in a child's room. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image and is an obvious, affordable choice for a small format like 15×20 cm, if you don't mind light reflections in the glass.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.
