About the frame
24×24 cm (9.45 x 9.45 in) is the largest square that still feels natural on a shelf, and the size suits art prints, square photos and small graphic posters. This is where the character of the vintage gold frame really shows: with longer sides to work with, the lightly crackled texture and soft glow of the gold become more pronounced. 15 mm in width and depth gives a narrow line, and the 5 mm overlap keeps the motif securely behind the front. The square format is calming, and the golden edge makes it a natural focal point on a chest of drawers. The frame comes with a stand, so it can sit on a shelf, a chest of drawers or a desk. Thanks to the hanger on the back, the frame can also be hung horizontally or vertically despite the stand – and if you would rather do without the stand, it can be snapped off without much effort.
Glass
- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is light and shatterproof – a safe choice if the frame will stand where it could be knocked over, or hang in a child's room. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image and is an obvious, affordable choice for a small format like 24×24 cm, if you don't mind light reflections in the glass.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.
