About the frame
61×91.5 cm (24.02 x 36.02 in) is the classic American poster size in which many film and concert posters are printed. A film poster or a vintage advert in particular gains extra character in a gold-coloured wooden frame, where the lightly crackled surface adds an antique, almost cinematic glamour. The warm glow looks great against both light and dark walls. The profile is narrow at 15 mm in width and depth, the front overlaps the glass and backing board by 5 mm, and the hanger on the back allows both portrait and landscape format.
Glass
- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is especially recommended for a large format like 61×91.5 cm, as it weighs much less than glass and cannot shatter. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image, but makes the frame heavier in this format, so make sure you use a sturdy hanging fixture.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.
