About the frame
This silver-colored wooden frame has an expression that brings to mind a find from an old market – a piece that already carries a bit of history. The surface is finely cracked and has just the right, understated patina that suits both modern motifs and older art prints. The wooden strip is 16 mm wide and 16 mm deep, and the front profile overlaps the glass and back plate by 5 mm, so the motif sits securely. On the back there are brackets for both horizontal and vertical suspension, and frames up to 18×24 cm also have a practical support foot for placement on a shelf, table or windowsill.
The frame formats are always based on the size of the glass and the backing plate – and thus also the size of the poster you want to frame.
An elegant and charming silver frame, available up to 70×100 cm.

Glass
The glass is a big part of the overall experience. It affects everything from color depth and contrast to reflections and protection against UV light. Here's an overview of the four options:
Acrylic glass (plexiglass)
Light, strong and completely shatterproof – a great solution in rooms where the frame can take a hit or where children are present. The clarity is similar to regular glass, but you get a more robust and practical solution.
Normal glass
The classic choice with natural clarity and the familiar shine. Here you get the traditional glass experience with visible reflections.
Non-reflective glass
The low-gloss, matte surface significantly reduces light reflections. In very bright light, the subject may appear slightly softer, but in return the image becomes incredibly easy to see from all angles – perfect in rooms with many windows or spotlights.
Museum glass
The most exclusive solution. Museum glass is almost invisible, reduces reflections without dullness and protects the subject from approximately 70% of UV radiation. Together with your windows' UV filter, it helps to keep the colors beautiful for many years. Museum glass makes the subject stand out sharp and free, almost as if there is no glass in front of it at all.
Choose the type of glass that best suits both the subject and the location – the difference is bigger than you think.

Passepartout / Mat / Mount
When using a passepartout, the frame should always be chosen in a size larger than the poster itself. For example, a 50×50 cm poster requires a 60×60 frame to get a beautiful, uniform passepartout width of approximately 5.5 cm (including the recommended 0.5 cm overlap).
Cutout
Measure the poster accurately and choose a hole size that is 1 cm smaller in both height and width than the motif. For example, if your poster measures 66×88 cm, the hole size should be 65×87 cm. This will give you an overlap of approximately 5 mm all the way around, which keeps the motif stable and gives a tight, professional look.
Outer dimensions
The outer dimensions of the mount follow the frame's glass size. Glass, backing plate and mount are approximately 5 mm below the front edge of the frame.
Cutout position
You can choose between these cuts:
Centered cutout (standard): Equal distance to top and bottom.
Top-positioned cutout: Same distance to top and sides and a wider bottom.
Passepartout without cutout: The entire motif – including signatures and edges – lies visibly on top of the cardboard.
All passepartouts are produced in 1.5 mm acid-free quality cardboard.
