About the frame

We offer custom-made white wooden frames in different widths: 10 mm, 15 mm and this wide 20 mm white wooden frame with a depth of 30 mm.

If you want a striking white picture frame, this model is an excellent choice. The wooden frame is finished in a beautiful matte white lacquer with a completely smooth surface that hides the wood grain. If you prefer a white frame where the wood structure is visible, simply contact us. The same applies if you need a frame larger than 120×160 cm.

The frame is fitted with hanging brackets, so you can hang it in either portrait or landscape format. This gives you full flexibility to choose the orientation that suits your artwork best.

Glass

The choice of glass plays a crucial role in both appearance and preservation. At PlakatKunst you can choose between four types of glass:

Acrylic glass (plexiglass) – lightweight, shatterproof and clear once the protective film is removed, but with reflections.

Regular glass – classic clarity, natural colour reproduction and visible reflections.

Non-reflective glass – reduces glare with a soft matte surface, ideal in bright rooms.

Museum glass – almost invisible, with minimal glare and at least 70% UV protection. This premium option preserves colours with exceptional clarity.

Passepartout / Mat

A passepartout adds depth, balance and a more sophisticated presentation. It creates space between the artwork and the glass, protects the poster, and draws the eye naturally toward the motif.

All our passepartouts are cut from 1.5 mm acid-free quality cardboard and are available in a selection of carefully chosen colours. Each variant has a subtle surface texture that harmonises beautifully with the artwork.

When using a passepartout, the frame must always be larger than the poster. A 34×34 cm poster fits perfectly in a 40×40 cm frame — or 44×44 cm if you want a wider border.

When ordering custom sizes, you must specify the following:

Cutout

Measure your artwork precisely. The cutout should be 1 cm smaller than the poster’s actual width and height, giving an overlap of approx. 5 mm all around. A 34×34 cm poster therefore requires a 33×33 cm cutout.

Outer dimensions

You do not need to provide these — the outer dimensions always follow the frame’s glass size.

Cutout position

• Centered cutout: A symmetrical and classic presentation.
• Top-positioned cutout: Flush with the top and sides, creating a visually heavier bottom border.
• No cutout: A full sheet of cardboard where the artwork is placed on top — ideal for signatures and visible edges.

Payment & invoice

We offer secure and flexible payment via VISA, Mastercard, MobilePay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, American Express, iDeal and PayPal.

Companies and public institutions can request a standard invoice or EAN billing by contacting us via chat, email or phone.

Payment is processed securely through Shopify Payments, and the amount is only deducted when your order has been shipped. You will receive an order confirmation by email, and the invoice will be stored automatically in your PlakatKunst account.

Returns

You have a 100-day return policy on all standard products. Custom-made frames and passepartouts cannot be returned, as they are produced specifically to your measurements.

If you receive a damaged frame, please send photos of the packaging and damage to info@plakatkunst.dk, and we will arrange a replacement promptly.
