Large and charming travel poster from 1922 that just exudes history. This original poster promoted voyages from France to the United States in the 1920s.

The ship on the poster is the famous SS France from 1910, which was a French ship that sailed to the United States under the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique, colloquially known as the CGT or "French Line". She was later nicknamed "Versailles of the Atlantic", as a reference to her lavish decor that reflected the famous Palace of Versailles outside Paris.

Condition: 7/10 - Large tear in the right corner, folds and a lot of patina

Frame is not included. See our large selection of exclusive frames that can be made precisely to the poster.
