Ship posters are some of the most valuable vintage posters and Blue Star Line are some of the most exciting posters in the genre. Blue Star Line was a British passenger and freight shipping line founded in 1911 and operated until 1998. The ship Arandora Star was built in 1927 as an ocean liner, and converted in 1929 to a cruise ship and requisitioned as a warship in World War II. On 2 July 1940 she was sunk by a German submarine.
This is an original vintage poster. It is not a reproduction. At the time of writing, you will not find this poster for sale anywhere else on the internet, and it is unlikely that it will ever be offered for sale in such good condition again.
Condition
A valuable original from 1934 in really nice condition. There is some minor damage to the sides, and a few folds on the poster, which will not be a problem when the poster is placed in a frame.
Frame
The frame is not included in the price, but we recommend that you buy a custom-made frame with museum glass, which protects optimally against UV radiation, thus preserving this unique poster and its value.
