Train posters are some of the absolute most valuable vintage posters. This beautiful poster from 1907 was made by Anton Reckziegel at the beginning of winter tourism. This beautiful lithograph shows the Rigi cog railway in the middle of a picturesque winter landscape with the mountain peaks Rigi-Rotstock, Rigi-First and Rigi-Kulm and Dossen in the background. The blank area in the lower left corner makes room for the winter schedule of the Rigibahn, which means that the poster has never been used by the Rigi-Bahn, which explains the excellent condition. This is an elegant work from the golden age of 20th century Swiss poster art.

Condition

The poster is over 100 years old, but still in excellent condition. There are some scratches etc, but this only adds to the charm of the poster and it is unlikely that this poster will ever be put up for sale in the same condition again. The colors are really sharp!
